Growing up is rough.
It's interesting when you reach a point in your life when you look around and wonder where you stand with everyone else around you.
Although I feel like I've learned so much about life and friendship and communication and relationships... I can't help but feel somewhat out-of-touch.
I hate that feeling.
I hate being so busy in my head that I can't keep up with the outside world.
But I guess that's life... we choose our company.
I think there comes a time in everyone's life when we really evaluate our friendships-- both old and new. The old friends are the ones that are there for you like they were back then, and they know every bump and scrape in your life. They are friends by situation.
New friends are those by choice. When your maturity allows you to know the difference between people who are good for you, and those who are not. You pick these friends because you can. Because you want to.
Friendship shouldn't be a competition. It should be about compassion.

Example:
---He goes out on a hunting trip with "the boys." They go out for a whole week. He sleeps in a grungy sleeping bag and gets chewed up by mosquitoes. He eats foor that prison inmates wouldn't touch. For what? The hunt. Then if he actually kills a moose, he comes home prouder than a peacock and wants to hang that moose head on a wall in the den.
Let's notice something, because it's significant. If you were to drop a dead moose on his doorstep, he'd want nothing to do with it. It would be the very same moose he had hunted, and yet it could have a totally different effect on him. This is how the pursuit affects his interest in a woman. When a woman chases a man, it has the same effect as if she were to deliver a dead moose to his front door.
I'm so sick of hearing about great girls letting guys have a complete hold on them.
It's also crazy to see people just now find out who they are and what they want. I guess I feel fortunate to have learned so much over the past few years. When I look back on the past, I realize so many things that I did wrong, or could have handled in a different matter. But, no regrets. I still believe everything happens for a reason.
I'm looking forward to moving on with my life and doing exactly what I've been wanted to do since I was a child. It's nice to not feel inadequate or scared about the future. Granted, there is always going to be doubt. However, I'm choosing to feel secure and completely happy.
Annndddd I like it that way.
On a side note, I'm really looking forward to meeting new people. I neeeeeeed this. People that share common interests, people that I didn't see every day in high school, and people that don't willfully gyrate around pointless drama. I'm glad my roommate feels me on this [right dude?]

I think that as you get older.. you just don't have good dreams anymore.
I don't remember the last time I had one.
On another note... I think school is going pretty well. I'm going to really enjoy my humanities class. I like how Dr. Spataro pretty much just lays it out for you. "You live, and then you die". "I think, therefore I am." I like to hear the truth.
Geography will be fun.. except for the fact I get the most time consuming homework ever.. and we're going to get it every single night.
I love English....... but not this year.
and Math is a piece of cake.
My internship is still going really well. ;] We're like a family there now. I'm now on the creative side of the production staff and have been doing a little bit of editing, programing, encoding, and graphics. I'm learning a lot, and the experience is going to be really helpful.
Instead of GVSU, I think I'm going to transfer to KCAD! PLus 12 credits will transfer from Specs.. so I can be halfway through my junior year. :) Good news.
Daniel and I are just aamzing. I haven't seen him in quite a while... but we're doing good. I can't wait to see him on his graduation. I miss my babeeeee.
I haven't updated like this in a while.
